“ Decades ago, when I was a kid living in Vermilion, we had Papa Joe's about once a week. It was always great. Back in August my wife and I stopped in when we were passing through Northern Ohio. We ordered a large pepperoni, light sauce and double cheese. It was excellent. At first, my wife said she would only eat a couple slices. We each ate half, finishing it up right there. We're in Cleveland as I type this, but we'll be making the hour drive to Vermilion for some Papa Joe's before heading back out of state. ”
“ We were looking for a local place open on fourth of July. My mom is in an assisted living facility in Vermilion and she thought pizza sound good. We are two hours away so I called ahead to make sure they were open (closed only three days a year-Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter). I ordered as we got closer, was given excellent directions, and even asked if they had pop to go (they do). Papa Joe's has a drive thru so it was quick and easy to get in and out. The pizza was really good and very reasonably priced!! I'm assuming it was the owner I talked to-Johnny R-he was very pleasant and helpful-so good to see in this day and age!!
